I'm here to help students who are struggling with math and science. I tutor algebra, chemistry, calculus, organic chemistry, and a multitude of other science and math subjects. I received my degree from the University of Mississippi. I've had the privilege of working with students in many different environments. In college I served as a teaching assistant for chemistry courses and labs. I also tutored general chemistry for many years. I am confident that every student is capable of success. They just need to given the proper guidance and resources. As a tutor I work to determine what it is that a student doesn't understand. After I've assessed the gap in their understanding, I work with the student using various techniques and methods to help them overcome their struggle with the material. While it's important to me that my students fully understand the material at hand, I also think it's important that they develop confidence in themselves as learners. I help them accomplish both. When I'm not tutoring I watch a lot of sports. I like to stay active by running, shooting some hoops, and working out. I'm a big sci-fi and action movie fan, and I occasionally play some video games.
